Always walk through life as if you have something new to learn....

GTC1,2, 3, 4
As a teacher I am a life long leaner. Today I learnt something new! Us teachers are also leaner's. We give our children knowledge and teach them, but we as professionals are also learners. As teachers I believe to be able to give our children the best education and set them up towards a happy and healthy, successful journey through learning and education, we need to be willing to grasp new opportunities to learn ourselves.

Today I learnt how to use E-AsTTle. I already knew how to navigate around the site but today I learnt how to assign the tests to the students and how to locate their passwords and how to also view their results in different forms.

One thing I really need to remember for the next time that I sit these tests in my classroom is-Make sure that the children, when they come to the end of their test click "FINISH". One thing that I found out is that if they do not click finish test, their results do not get posted up and they have to resit the test all over again-Which we had to do a couple times. But through practising , this is how we learn and also how our children in our classrooms learn. They learn by having a growth mindset and not a fixed mindset.

So I can now say that if another teacher was to come to me and ask how they assign a maths test to the students in their class, I can happily say that I can help them with this and guide them through this.

I also believe that this also builds relationships with colleagues. Through having professional conversations like these we learn a great deal from each other.
